Skin Clinic

Our skin clinic provides services for skin cancer diagnosis and treatment with dedicated equipment and care. We offer digital mole scanning and both non-surgical and surgical options including reconstructive procedures with oversight from accredited practitioners.

Women's Health

Women’s health services at our centre include check-ups, reproductive health advice, STD screening and support throughout different life stages. The focus includes preventative care such as cervical screenings, breast checks and guidance on pregnancy, menopause and bone health.

Men's Health

For those planning to travel, our centre offers travel vaccination services aimed at reducing health risks. A variety of vaccines such as those for hepatitis A, typhoid and meningitis are available based on travel destinations.

QML Pathology

QML pathology offers diagnostic testing services on-site at our centre. With a focus on medical testing, QML pathology uses current technology to provide access to test results as part of integrated patient care.

About our Services

A standard appointment lasts 10-15 minutes. This may change if there have been emergencies or if the surgery is very busy. Should you feel that you require a longer appointment e.g. annual check-up, minor surgery, insurance or WorkCover medical etc, please tell us at the time of booking. If more than one person in your family needs to be seen, please ask for an appointment for each of them.

Please advise our receptionist of your preferred doctor within the practice and where possible your appointment will be made with them.

Consultations are by appointment only. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and doctor. The first available doctor will see urgent cases.

Our health centre in Mullumbimby is also a teaching practice facility that fosters the next generation of GPs. GP registrars have 6-monthly placements. This may mean that the GP you want to see may not always be available when making your booking.

If you are unable to attend your appointment we ask that you contact the surgery as soon as possible as we may be able to offer your appointment to someone else.

Non-attendance and failure to advise the medical centre may result in a fee.

Our centre endeavours to always run on time with consultations, unfortunately this is not always possible. To help us run on time, please ensure that you always arrive 5 mins before your consultation to check in with the reception and allow extra travel time to find parking, as the centre parking and surrounds can fill up quickly.

Other Important information

Your doctor will advise when they expect the results of any tests or radiography to arrive at the practice. Follow-up of results has become a very important component of good medical care. For privacy, confidentiality and medico-legal reasons, your doctor is likely to request a follow up appointment to discuss your results. Please talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about this.

You will need to make a follow up appointment with your doctor to discuss your results.

Reception staff cannot give results out over the phone or via email (with the exception of INR results). Please book in to see a GP to request a copy of your results.

Nurses

If you wish to see a nurse at the centre for any reason, you will need to book in to see a GP first. The nurse cannot see you without a referral from a GP. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
